RN Staff-Wound Care
The Wound Care STAFF RN is a registered professional nurse who provides direct assistance to the nursing staff in the management of patients with potential/actual alteration in skin integrity.
He/she prescribes nursing care based on the nursing process that is consistent with the medical plan of care and is based on input from the patient and significant others.
He/she collaborates with the physicians and other members of the health care team to develop treatment plans to be implemented by the nursing staff for promotion of wound healing.
The Wound Care Staff RN assesses patient to determine and eliminate cause of skin breakdown.
He/she evaluates patient response to treatment and initiates alternative treatment when indicated.
He/she incorporates teaching, discharge planning needs and educates staff and patient/family regarding concerns of skin care and treatment in the overall plan of care.
He/she delegates certain aspects of patient care delivery to other nursing staff based on their current clinical competence and legal scope of practice.
o Valid California RN License.
o Valid Basic Life Support (BLS)o Wound Care Experience, preferred.
o WCC certification, preferred.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
