Job Posting - Assistant Controller Lakeview Energy Services
The Lakeview Energy Services & companies group is seeking a qualified candidate to lead our Accounting Team in the Yuba Sutter Area.
The position is a salaried, full-time (40 hours/week+).
The ideal candidate will have a sense of urgency, attention to detail and be able to multitask while dealing with interruptions. The candidate must be able to work in a team environment, build team trust, have a dedication to continuous improvement, and a great sense of humor.
Qualified candidates will possess:
o BS in Accounting with 10 years recent accounting experience preferred, but a minimum of 5 years.
o Skills and abilities to accurately perform a variety of bookkeeping and accounting functions under the direct supervision of the Controller
o Proficient in Accounting, budget management and time management
o Ability to meet specific deadlines in a fast-paced environment
o Skills and ability to reconcile all balance sheet accounts, bank reconciliations, and month-end journal entries
o Responsibility for performing effective research to resolve accounting discrepancies and documentation problem; Make recommendations for appropriate actions to resolve discrepancies
o A thorough understanding of the General Ledger system, balance sheet and income statement accounts, as necessary, to discuss reporting of results to management
o Advanced knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and bookkeeping programs
o Keeps management informed of area activities and any significant problems
o Possess strong organizational and communication (written/verbal) skills, detail oriented and able to multi-task
o Ability to complete special projects and miscellaneous projects as required
o Maintain high level of confidentiality
