Billing/Charge Analyst
- 1-2 years experience is required The Emergency Dept.
Billing Secretary/Charge Analyst manages the process of applying charges to ED charts.
This process includes the review of all charts for appropriate billing and documentation as well as applying accurate codes to diagnosis and procedures.
In addition, handle secretarial duties for the physician group in the emergency dept.
Identify charge code problems and follow-up on solutions to ensure maximum collection on each account.
Analyze statistical reports and trends/problems.
Knowledge:
Medical terminology, knowledge of computer data entry and billing.
Skills:
Typing and computer skills mandatory.
Good verbal, writing and telephone skills.
Ability to communicate with public in a courteous manner.
Ability to use billing codes, including CPT, RVS and ICD-9.
Excellent organization skills, as well as detail oriented.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
