Payroll Manager

- Bachelors degree is preferred - 1-2 years experience is required - Experience is required - Recent experience in the specialty area is required - Supervisory experience is required Thorough knowledge of payroll practice in accordance with California and IRS regulations with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with Accounting or Finance concentration required or equivalent experience with proven skills.
General knowledge of benefits administration, payroll taxes, W-2s, and employer federal and state reporting requirements.
Experience required in a medium to large payroll department with good verbal and written communication skills and supervisory skills.
Minimum two years of supervising in a payroll environment, minimum of five years of payroll experience, hospital environment preferred.
Filing of applicable taxes (941s, W-2s, etc.
), general ledger, and workers compensation.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
